Think i blew my 6 speed

Well driving on highway changed from 3rd to 4th with force my gear leaver was all slopy had no gears at all it\'s stuck in 4th gear tryed pressing clutch in and changing gears but nothing seems to b there wont get out of 4th gear. So what too doo now? take gearbox off? Note: 4th gear syncro was fucked anyways

You havent "blown" the gearbox - you have broken the selector arm which pulls/pushes the shaft into gears. Its a stupidly small part which usually gives way due to rough/forceful shifting (mainly caused by f**ked synchros) and leaves you stuck in 4th gear. I recently broke the same thing... this is what it looks like:

Easy enough to fix - just have to take the rear housing of the gearbox off and its right there (gearbox out job though). The ball that breaks off just usually drops to the bottom of the casing and doesnt interfere with anything so need to worry about that. But if your synchros are stuffed, then you\'d be advised to get that sorted as well to lessen the chance of it happening again.

As a note, the above part is $197 + GST from Subaru, but there are none available in the country at the moment - ex-japan, 1.5 weeks wait if you order.

yep seen that one! or the selector with the solid little rectangle tab that pulls them out of gear.

from what i understand he wants to finish 1/4 mile in 4th gear

Go to 5sp lol. But really, people in US pull 10s with 6sp boxes.

Is he ever going to finish the quarter in decent time in 4th with a longer ratio in a 6sp tho? Thought it would hit limiter in 4th way quicker than 400m but idk no real world experience all theory lol.

Nothings bullet proof imo.

Yeah, but theres variations.

From memory the earlier ones (and I stand to be corrected) are a little harder to find second hand parts for due to the smaller amount made. The later version 8 and onwards are the more sought after ones.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
