need help-> v2 sti ra

thanks for the help - hahaha i almost fell off my chair - they rear inner cvs are $1000+ a side.. yes... $1000..

so in the wake of that - does anyone have pics or links to how the rear inners are put together - i can obviously just pull mine out and disassemble but i wanted a view of how they look before i embark on plan b,c or d.

with out going into detail - i went from viscous lsd to plated. i had v7/8 hubs to go in at the time from a viscous set up and i couldnt remove the axles. so i removed the outer race of those inner cvs, and put on the v2 sti ra outer race to the v7/8 wrx inner race. for the purpose of getting the right axle stubs to work in my diff.

tl;dr frankeinaxles.

was really not a smart idea as i think the wear was quite different between the inner and outers i mashed together and i am getting lots of rattle rattle at the back.

we suspect its the bearings rattling in the race but i want to pull a dead axle apart before i dissemble my own if i can help it and understand how they work.

The theory being... if the stubs can be removed from the cups i can find some other common rear axles and rob them of the outer and inner races (matched sets) while reusing my stubs.

fear not; still going racing next weekend coz i can.

how close are they mechanically to the front inners? DOJ are they called?

i wouldn\'t be surprised if you could swap the internals over. not an option if the cups are damaged though

front inners come apart by simply removing the large circlip on the inside of the cup. i guess rears are the same?

hokay seems you\'ve been there already lol

pretty sure the cup and spline are one and the same?

i think my issues have come apart from to many killerwasps plus unevenly worn inner and outer DOJ bits..

DOJs\' (inners) are different front to rear, significantly.

by my reasoning the outer race and the cup are the same thing.. so if they are worn your phucked but i havent (yet) assploded any.

if the cup and the diff stub / spline are one in the same im also phucked.

I seem to remember when i did frankeinaxles you could smack the stubs (rears) out hence my curiosity.

does anyone have ANY rear axle broken or good i can have to play with?

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
