Hows your Fuel Consumption?

Recommended Posts

Maybe lm a bit anal but aways monitoring fuel consumption by zeroing trip meter when/always filling up

Its also a good guide to seeing problems starting to develop in fuel / ignition systems before and if fault codes come up .

01 BH5 Outback 2.5 sohc manual with 225,000km 8.5 - 10 litres / 100km. (28-33mpg) on 91

around 500/600km per tank

have used 96 as well and theres NO noticable difference in economy performance. No detonation on 91. oil consumptiom 1litre/3000km

the fuel gauge has 6 segments between full and empty usually get 100km per segment on average (9L/100km) 30 mpg. on longer journeys 10km more , shorter journeys 10km less ie a 10% variation on average

most of the driving is semi rural to country running so thats why figures are probably better than average

On 3 to 4.5 hour trips it will do 8.5 L/100km (33mpg) if cruise at 3000rpm. but its amazing watch that plummet once in urban driving to 10.5L/100km + (27mpg-)

86 leone GL 1800 wagon part time 4WD man ea82 8 to 9L / 100km 30-35mpg this was only 1050kg compared to Outbacks 1500kg

87 Brumby 1800 ea81 average around 9L/100km (30mpg) 950kg, motor tired. ie oil 1litre/1000km but still runs ok no extra noises a project in waiting

when the o2 sensor was faulting i was luck to get 200kms out of a tank now that i replaced the sensor i\'ve filled up and i\'m still on the same tank and have got 547kms so far but i have been taking it easy might get 580 before i fill up again.

I\'m using v power 95 at the mo as i had a 20cent voucher.

i\'ll never put force 10 in again as it blew my o2 sensor and i\'ve had a surging issue ever since.

Ive herd a couple people say it hasn\'t done nice things to their cars.

Has it got more than the recommended 10% ethanol or something?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
