HSD coilovers vs BC golds??? which is better value for money?

Hey guys, I have a v10 sti and was wondering what coilovers to fit,

I have owned bc golds in the past and found them to be a great ride, however they only have front camber adjustable where as the HSD comes with both front and rear which i like the sound of as i am wanting to fit a more aggressive mag (18x10 30p) So am concerned that without camber adjustment on the back i may struggle to fit comfortable.

Any suggestions or pros and cons of the two would be appreciated

I\'ve never heard a bad report about bc golds, and i\'ve never heard a review at all of hsd\'s

I\'ll be following this thread as i\'ll be deciding between these two brands early next year for my nissan.

yeah ive always had bc golds and never had problems with them, but the hsd sounds like a good set up especially if your wanting camber adjustment in front and rear, the question is.... is it worth the risk if they turn out not to be as good.

My only concerns are which will go lower and which ones are stiffer

I had secondhand adjusties so I dont think they were a good example. Rode bloody well better than stock stuff with stock or super low springs.

I dont know what your top hats are like for a V10 but some bc golds had rear camber adjustment (v7 does) so maybe get the top hats swapped so you can have camber all round? I ended up with V7 bc golds in my forester so that i had rear camber top hats

HSD is a better brand but cost twice as much

BC make camber rear top hats I have them on mine. Most adjusties dont come with them and they cost a fair chunk to buy seperate.

But can i sit the subframe on the ground on 15\'s with hsd\'s?

d2 coilovers are a waste of time as you can no longer get them certified due to how they have been made.

So whats the point in even selling them?

As for bc golds, does anyone know how hard it is to swap the top hats over so you have camber on the back instead of the front? is it just a straight swap or do you have to do some modifications ?

As i dont really need camber for the front just the rear.

Turns out that you can just order in bc golds with adjustable camber plates for both front and rear, so looks like bc golds is the winner for me.

I thought this was just an epic reading comprehension fail circulating around the internet with regards to their early ?Corolla/Levin? struts that required welding a structural member and are no longer OK. The rest are fine.

Also cars with tons of camber in the rear but none in the front look stupid/bent

Im looking at getting a set of BC\'s if my Teins fail on me, you can get them in a shorter shock body and revalved to what ever you like to match what ever spring weight you use, i was planing on doing a set with 12k springs all around thatl be shorter

Was looking at their lower options last night on their website, can go up to 5" lower than standard height
