Wanting some value advice on my wagon.

Hey guys,

Have been considering selling my wagon in order to buy 2 cheaper cars for me and my partner but can\'t bring myself to do it.

Thought I would ask on here what you think it would be worth roughly to get an idea of its going rate. Checked out trademe for similar prices

but thought I\'d grab peoples thoughts here.

Model: 2000 E-Tune GT-B Legacy

Kms: 175000 on body, 55000 on current engine.

Maintenance: Oil changed every 5000kms meticulously with 10w40 valvoline and genuine Subaru oil filters only, cambelt and waterpump not due for another 45000kms. Always run on 95 octane and 98 where available (NOT from Gull servo\'s as it has 10% ethanol mix).

Modifications:

-Has had a rebuild as mentioned above (whole new block).

-Rebuilt gearbox at same time as engine.

-HDi ECU wired Boost Controller.

-Prosport Boost gauge.

-v7 STi seats.

-JDM STi gear knob from \'05 limited STi Legacy.

-Pioneer sound system, headunit, amp, competition series door speakers.

-Brand new (2 days old) 18x8.5" Rota Grid rims in Neo Chrome with 225/40R18 Sunny 3970

Always looked after, immaculate interior. Only cons are a few paint chips from stones on the front bumper/bonnet (just the usual wear and tear), a couple of small scuff marks and a couple of small dents in the body work.

If anyone can give me some indication on what I could get for this it would be much appreciated!

Hard with these as there\'s so many options and rubbish ones out there making it harder for the nice ones to get what theyr worth. If u want my oppionion I\'d say 5.5 - 6k if u want a reasonable sale time. Maby a little more if your will to wait a decent amount of time. My 2c anyway..

You would have a damn hard time getting 2 decent cars from the money you would get from your Legacy.

Better off just saving up a few grand and getting a cheap little runabout. Because if you sell and buy 2 cars you\'ll either end up with 2 pretty crappy cars or one sorta ok car and one shitbox.

+1, but I agree with Mark at about $5500-$6000 if your willing to wait for the right buyer.

Edit: You\'l regret selling it....

+1, but I agree with Mark at about $5500-$6000 if your willing to wait for the right buyer.

My thoughts were 6-6.5k with wheels 5k without. Be lucky to get 1-1.2k for wheels now theyre secondhand tho.

save for a cheap run around or part out the legacy or sell the legacy buy two cheap run arounds with nothing but issues as no one sells mint cars cheap.

An we\'ll see u back on the forums in a year after buying a shitter Subaru as before as its all you know how to work on lol.

Haha Nah took me too long to track that one down. Might go back to OEM at some stage though cause its pretty small.

If you got 7k youd be doing wickedly well

Can pick up bh gtbs for as low as 3-4k these days with 200km ish, modifying them if anything lowers the value apart from the bogan market... who dont want a legacy that much either

Considering you can get a bp manual for under 10 nowadays I wouldnt get too optomistic

That said you did sell it for 7, you could go and buy a pair of them and then have his & hers haha

For what its worth I have ragesold 4 legacy gtbs in the past few years, have made $ on 3 of them, and if I ever want another its not like they are hard to find

Hey Steveo!! Yeah man its been looked after just as well as you did. Decided its not worth selling. If it ever dies I\'ll throw an STi engine and ECU in it for the same price as a new car. Enjoy driving it far too much.
