scat crankshafts

hey guys, anyone used scat crankshafts or know of anyone thats used one and know whether they are any good? got a good price on a billet forged knife edged stroker crankshaft

Thro STA lads Im guessing? I sold one that was dual thrust/knife edged off them few years back to a local 500hp build was tuned by e&h. Looked fine by memory but proofs in the pudding with monster builds which dont really use that gear. Never had a comeback and measured fine.

Sounds exciting tho...

mid 20s not tune or related to the rod bolts . the pos just shore in half lol

That is quite concerning!! And acl apparently do a hyperlite forged piston. Any good?

couldnt comment . I use there bearings but didnt know they do more .

I dont actually know for sure but have heard thro reco boys that ross pistons are acl. Use those lads in the states even with gst it will be around 1k for pistons/rods.

I can get the acl ones for 1k through repco work. Was just seeing what their products are like aye. Apparently pretty big in Australia

Cheaper deals than that anywhere local. Wiseco/JE/etc all under $900 generally.

wiseco always seam to be noisey with alot of piston snap but never heard of em failing.. know a few guys who run em but are noisey next to my je\'s and ive been running 2bar of boost on and off for the last 2years never runs below 22psi feels slow any lower than that lol

Wiseco\'s are often noisy when cold. Mine used to be quiet once up to temp. I did manage to shrink one once. Most likely due to one cylinder running leaner with a possumlink and big injectors and loads of boost I think.

This looks great, however any savings would just be spend on import duty when it reached our customs? Or are you not \'guaranteed\' to get pinged? Bit unsure how the system works!

ive got a fair bit of stuff in from overseas and only had to pay duty one . maby just lucky

if yr asking me? then yip still got rskikn it\'s goin off the road again soon.. redoin engine bay set up move turbo, do some more custom work shorten some of the plumbing etc and prob freshen up the motor with some new rings and bearing an wot not.. prob do some major head and cam work while the motors out get some more power out of it..

No problem from scat cranks.....

Both our Jet boat & modified engines use Scat. 700+HP

They are made of quality material, but dont fit one thinking its going to cure a poor oiling system.
