Legacy GT BP - Traction control

Hey Guys

Does this car have traction control, electronic stability program etc, is there a way to urn these systems on \off .

Both my old legacys 07\'BP and 04\'BL had no button to turn off.

My step mums 11\'outback does

My 04 BP5 doesn\'t have either AFAIK.

mine has a button to turn it on and off, i dont find it much of a difference, my understanding is that if there is no button it doesnt have it

check on the kick panel under your steering wheel on the center console side. there is a button

find a situation where you have the wheels spinning and you know it works hehehehe

I was lucky and both my bpe wagons have had no vdc

Cool thanks Guys, mine does not have any button so assuming there us no TC or brake intervention. The reason I ask as I went into a round about abit too fast on a wet day and I felt the car trying to break when I was full on the gas coming out ??? so figured out the problem, don\'t drive fast around round about\'s

it behaves similar to holdens system (up to about VZ) when engaged, it doesnt seem to actively engage the brakes but backs the throttle input off until traction is regained.

all bp legacy has traction control system equipped, some premium specs come with VDC which can be turned on and off using switch. my 2003 bp5 gt has traction control in it. more info from here

Wrong, not all bp legacy have traction control. I have had 2 and both have not had traction control. I can quite happily spin around in grass/mud/slippery road no problem with no intervention of the car

My 07 BL definitely doesn\'t have traction control. VDC is a collection of different technologies, and BL/BP have many of them as standard, but not traction control. If you have traction control, you can manually disable it temporarily with a VDC Off button (far right button of the three under your electric rear view mirror adjustment knob), but the rest of the VDC systems remain on permanently.

That planetsubaru link refers to USDM models not the JDM models you guys get. I\'m pretty sure VDC was only on auto models for BL/BP A-C. Can\'t remember if manuals got it for D-F. BP5F (08/09) has it but no button to disable it whereas my old BPE Outback had a button on the panel between the steering wheel and the stereo.

you may find that ANY modern vehicle, whether advertised or not has some extent of VSC, some are able to be switched "OFF" ( usually only partially) if it has ABS then more than likely it will have VSC
