problems after new clutch

I have just replaced my clutch and put some Motul ff lsd 75W90 in my gearbox. it now grounches when doing Quick changes from third to fourth. however when cruising around town there is no snicks and feels fine when changing from third to fourth. any ideas of what maybe my problem?

i only ever had it happen to me twice before i did the clutch and oil.

Not ruling Rossubs idea out but if you don\'t have any luck there then its likely to be a syncro problem. The boxes 99 onwards have double syncro and the syncro hubs are weak points they can crack but you wouldn\'t be able to tell unless you strip down the box and main shaft. i\'ve seen quite afew do this!

How did the old oil look? is the box noisy?

had my clutch pedal only come half way up a couple of times while driving. I have re bled the cylinder but now it is only coming half way up the whole time.

anyone had this happen before or know how to fix this?? would it be the master cylinder that has gone?/

Clutch Fork Return Spring?

ended up taking slave cylinder off, undid the breather and tipped it up so breather was facing upwards and then pushed the slave cylinder all the way home by hand. put it back on the gearbox and tightened up breather then with a couple of pumps on the clutch pedal it was all good and working fine! maybe a good little tip?? for others that have problems with such things.

Hi I've just replaced the manual gearbox in my 2001 legacy LX, but now it seems I'm having problems with the clutch?

Didn't touch the clutch in the process of changing the gearbox but now with the engine on I can't select any gear, but with the engine off I am able to select the gears with or without the clutch peddle depressed.

I've made sure the selector fork and throw out bearing are all good and from what I can see the clutch and pressure plate are all good.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hmmm, strange. Get someone to watch the clutch fork as the pedal is worked, just to make sure. Does the pedal feel normal?

Maybe pull the clutch fork boot and look in with a torch, to make sure the fork is over the thrust bearing properly?

Yea the fork is working as normal, same with the pedal. Took the box off and everything is good. Could something have have happened to the clutch assembly while trying to get the gearbox on?

See if any of the pressure plate fins are bent or damaged at all.

If you were rocking the box with it half on, you might have broken one or more of the clutch plate springs?

How did taking the original box out go. Did you get caught with the clutch fork rod and maybe bend the fork? Also make sure the thrust bearing is still attached to the pressure plate?

If the cars been sitting for ages/not driven much over last 6months the clutch can stick and give this exact problem. In my case it happens after a couple weeks if I haven't moved the car. Starting it in gear with foot on clutch breaks it free.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
