BG5 to BP5 Front End Conversion?

Sup guys,

so pretty much i had this cool idea in my head that a BP5 front end (bumper, grille, headlights and guards) would look cool if it was fitted somehow onto the front of the earlier BG5 model?

Has anyone seen this before? Or know of any major complications in why it wouldn\'t work?

Also, if someone can point me in the right direction as to where i can get this done?

Just set fire to the $$, it\'ll be quicker and easier

Sell the BG, buy a BP, will be a cheaper and more painless exercise

It would b a massive headache as ur going from mid 90\'s to 00" so it would be eating a big hole in ur wallet but if u decide to do it then sweet as i know i would follow the build thread as its something different other than building a track car good luck either way mate

I\'d spend the money on like, a really big turbo, forged motor, Link G4, maybe a cage, some race seats, and a 6 speed conversion. Oh and some Brembos.

That should eat up most of the money it\'ll cost to do this, and not have it look like s***.

Don\'t forget you would need a bonnet too. And then it wouldn\'t match the scuttle panel so you would probably need to change that. Which wouldn\'t fit the firewall so you may as well do a front cut. Then the windscreen and front doors won\'t fit so you would need a floor cut and the doors. But the doors wouldn\'t latch so you would need a B-pillar cut, this would mess up the rear doors so you would need them and a rear cut as well.

At this point you would have some of the roof and some of the floor from a BG with the rest of a BP5 welded and bogged to it. Also a bill for maybe $50k.

Unfortunately the guys are right, this would be a massive money burner. Cool idea and certainly different but I would guess you'd be looking at 10s of thousands to do this?

Is a cool idea although a bit unfeasible. They are a completely different chassis so it wouldn't be a simple fit(chassis modification - Cert - more $$$), plus the BG is slightly smaller I think so even if you pulled it off the proportions wouldn't look quite right.

The front end of both cars are completely different, it would be a huge task to do it. Id love to see it done, but for the money you could get a bp.

Now if you want a challenge, i have been wanting to do a vortex front on a leone coupe........oh the dream
