The fuel reg is one place I wouldn't splice into. Many other choices.

Why is it bad ?? Not sure if your familiar with v7 engines Loren but besidesthe bov and fuel reg thats pretty much it.. Although there is another that can be made but I snapped the bung off trying to undo it will need to tap it out at some stage

Is bov the one under the tb? One behind tb as well on mine.

What are you plumbing in dude?

not teeing into the fuel reg line is internet gospel along with the "short shifters wear out synchros " and " no bov will wreck your turbo"

if you take it to the inth degree there is a glimmer of truth . in reality there are hundreds of thousands of cars doing it with no problem

I wouldn't do it because if you bleed too much off, you'll run lean. That's my internet opinion anyway...

it probably means nothing since I'm not actually a real person... just a bot replying to questions.

Glenn suckling teed mine together so map/reg read exactly the same. He knows more than cs does imo.

Being pessimistic... what is the worst thing that can happen if you T off the reg? To my mind,

the T'd off line could come off the back of the boost gauge, then bleed off enough boost to affect

the reg, but not enough to stop the car boosting. Which would mean running lean. How likely this

situation is, would depend on how the line was installed and the type of boost gauge etc... but

it has happened to me (with a previously installed gauge). The average mechanic might think that

situation is unlikely... but then it's not their car at risk.

Very good point indeed there Loren

The way i see it is the 6mm tube to boost gauge is jack volume and is already full of air so i doubt there would be any pressure differential between vac and 20 psi gauge vs plenum.

If youre concerned about that then at least move the feed for fuel reg to plenum vs runner as that would have a far bigger effect. With the reg feeding off runner fuji must have thought all runners/plenum were equal enough at all times to be well and truly safe and thats a far bigger volume than a 6mm tube.

I'm talking about what happens when there is a failure though. If there are no leaks, then there are no problems.

But if there is a leak immediately before the reg... that would be pretty bad, so why increase the chances of that

happening by putting a T to a gauge there?

+1

The hose to the boost gauge might leak, then again the 20 year of bit of factory hosing might perish at random too, as much chance of either happening

Just stick it wherever there's a fitting

If anything on a subaru the factory spot isn't all that ideal, put a real sensitive gauge on the fitting it uses and you can see it pulse with that cylinder filling up

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
