Brake Pads.

Has any one put EBC brake pads on their car? I read the green ones are cars up to 200 bhp, and the yellows on cars up to 300 bhp. Don't like the pads on my car at the moment, orange ones not sure of the brand name but feel quite spongy.

I'm just looking for better brakes just for winter for general safety. On the EBC website it has 4 colors. Green for cars under 200 hp, Yellow for cars around 300 hp, and a red and a blue, think they are for drag racing, rallying etc.

On a wet/snowy road you could lock the wheels with a couple of scotchbrite pads stuffed in your calipers.

They won't make feck all difference in terms of what you're probably thinking of.

Yes. Get some new brake fluid and flush/ bleed your brakes as Loren suggested. Then go looking for pads if you still think something is not right with. Might save yourself a few hundred bucks for the same or better result.

I've got green stuff on my BL5 GT. They're OK, but dust like crazy and don't have a whole lot of bite when cold. Had a few interesting moments on long stretches on the motorway, but worked great on windy mountainous stretches of road (Chch to Akaroa) and aren't too noisy.

I have yellows in my daily E30 BMW and my GC8 rally car. Good pads and last well for a race pad. They do require a stab or two to get some heat in however. Dust has never really bothered me, so can't comment on that.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
