Hi guys.

Just curious as to how much horsepower for a WRX STi or WRX to run say approx 11.2sec quarter.

I'm guessing around 400hp if not a little more.

You can run a high 12 in a standardish sti..

Its been done many a time with basics such as fmic, exhuast and maybe a bit more boost.

Fasttfour in his v8 sti, turtle in his v5 type r..

Its not that hard a feat to run a high 12 i dont htink

20psi aint standard... and it wouldnt be driven round like that... it would soon turn itself inside out..

20 psi aint standard bt the vf22 loved it . seemed to drive round fine .

Depends on which route you want to go down. RIPEVO wasn't overly powerful for the times it was doing, but relied heavily on getting good 60ft times by launching the balls out of it, which is why it had a tenancy to eat more axles than a fat chick eating cupcakes.

was the g-box surviving as well - from what i have read/seen (not tried), the box seems to give in first then the axles

only in the GDB 6 speed ones have i seen axeles break before the box....

Low 12s or 11s arent hard.

Mines done a 12.1 with the old owner. Its not STI. I think it had just had the gearbox rebuilt and tuned on a VF22. It did run 18psi. Not sure of 60fts or anything. I did try and get the timeslip off the car yard when i bought it but they coudlnt get it.

Couple guys on here know it and the old owner up in Palmy/Fielding who could back that up.

  • 1 month later...

I had my version 3 coupe doing a 12.8. Was only making 155kw atw, with all the interior stripped out, 13.3 with interior in.

Launching about 5500rpm with DCCD in lock position. Hooked up pretty good with no wheel spin on a prepped track and a sunny day.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
