what about the replacement turbo, what condition was that in?

When you complain about lag you *really* need to tell us what is happening with the boost. For example my VF10 equipped GT could be making 10psi at 2500rpm in 3rd. When I had a leaking pre-turbo exhaust it wouldn't get to 10psi until 3000rpm.

If you don't have a boost guage it is going to be hard to diagnose your problem.

Unless you mean it's missfiring? That's a different issue again, and is related to the coils rather than the turbocharger (assuming those were the only two changes).

i do have a boost gauge but it is only going up to 7psi and what i mean by lag is its not boosting propley im new to a turbo car as this is my first one so im not sure how to explain it.

lag is before the turbo kicks in, if its not boosting enough thats a different story, sounds like its running wastegate pressure

the air intake is stock stanard so how can i check that

its got to do with the vac/boost line plumbing,

ive got no idea how your car should be setup, mite be best to copy/check againist someone elses car or get a bleed tap and up the boost to see if it makes a differance.

i know you are new to turbo cars but can you explain what you see and feel, try to describe as best as possible? maybe it might gives us a better indication

7PSI is waste gate pressure so when you installed the turbo, did you put a vac (pipe) from the turbo outlet [the thing that goes to the intercooler] to the waste gate [thing that is bolted onto the turbo {possible gold or black in colour}] ???

seems to be working ok now but it not picking up till like 4000rpm

I'd say you have a vac / exhaust (possible both) leak somewhere then

Check the pipes for splits etc, try the exhaust gaskets bolts, see if they are tight

Has anybody asked the condition of the VF8?

Has it been rebuilt or has it been kicking around absorbing carbon since the beginning of the 90's?

looked as a newbe would on anycar as its not the turbo as it is spoilling up

got camera but not the cable so will get a pic up tomorrow and that seems all fine but all the help will be good

no point for me, I'm running a pipe from turbo outlet to GFB boost controller to the turbo wastegate, easy simple and effective i found

but if you have the stock one setup it should do something like this

TOP - Should go to the turbo outlet

BOTTOM SIDE - Turbo Wastegate

BOTTOM - Back into the intake (that box if you still have it)

NOTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that bottom pipe should have a restrictive pill in it to stop SPIKING.. without it in you will find that it will boost spike till cut in some heavy footed moments

yea im sure thats how mine is also, have my racepro tap 2 put back in so 10-12psi again, think i need a shorter pipe tho for controller, allgood, lets try get this BF boostn

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
