Cheap tyres that will work on the sand/beach? (06 Outback 3.0)?

I know my tyres are due early next year. We are in the process of buying a Hybrid for the Mrs commute etc.

 

But I want to keep the Outback for general outdoor pursuits, towing the boat, sleeping in or on top of, getting up and down the beach for fishing etc. 

 

The Potenzas have lasted us 85000km, in that time all we have had go wrong is a battery pole wiggle loose, but given it was 9 years old we not complaining haha. They really built these Outbacks tough. 

 

But we cannot afford high end tyres this time around, wanting something that can get up and down the beaches mostly, but also not cost too much on the commute home. After a budget well known brand that will work as an all purpose partial off roading tyre. Any suggestions? ($100-200 per tyre). 

 

The rest of the time the Outback will just be used for launching the boat at the ramp or beach.

Given "Most" here are performance Based and the only experience recently for myself was $330 per corner on the Santa Fe' (ouch)

 

that might be a question for the Soft-roader guys on FB?

OP - how did you get 85,000km from Potenzas ???

 

Any cheapie should suffice for light duties like beach running.
