Forever?

100000kms would be good ;)

No issue at home, as I'm not bothered but leaving a little present on friends/family driveways not so cool

There are 2 things that stop oil leaks in Subarus;

1. Dreams

2. Running out of oil

Dreams are free

My engine is spotless and dry, never dripped a single drop at 140,000kms. My gearbox on the other hand is pissing the stuff out at an alarming rate - but thats done 280,000km.

:)

As had been said Subarus seem to have issues with oil leaks especially from the rocker covers I believe that it is because of them being boxers and the oil gets to sit here for a bit longer than on one of them thar inline jobbies...

U aint seen oil leaks until u owned anything british(especially older british) Ford and Leyland diesels alloy sumps leak thru the sump BAD castings :)

dude, its hardly the castings fault, the stupid poms should have painted the inside of the casting like on mx bike casings. they leak unless theyre painted.

  • 3 months later...

The leak that led to me starting this topic stopped soon after. ;D

So I suspect the leak started as a result of the car being serviced ... maybe there was a spill or the oil filter wasn't on tight.

Either way we're all good

Still no oil leaks on the H6 at 148,000km. Gearbox doesnt leak either at 287,000km but the clutch slave cylinder enjoys pissing all my clutch fluid out about once a week.

Yeah i was working on the old method of "Clutch fluids cheaper". But its kinda annoying counting how many times you can use the clutch before you gotta stop and put more in. Traffic jams were a serious worry.

Anyone got a slave cylinder theyd like to donate?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
