Identifying Link ECU model

I have a Link Plus in my car. is there any way, without opening the case, to tell which model it is (G1/2/3 etc)?

On the left, it has the loom plugs, and a small hole (cant see what in hole, as i havent removed the ecu from the mounting plate yet). There is only the connector for the ribbon cable on the right.

Apparently the G2 link has an onboard serial port for PC connection. Mine doesnt appear to have that though... so i think its a G1?

best to open case man the pcb wil have a serial number on it nd that will probably correspond to a model number that may be found by calling link electro systems?

theres a serial number sticker on the side by the ribbon cable?

I thought all "link plus" are g1?

My G3 doesnt look anything like that.

And yes - i thought all Link Plus were G1, not across the models like you suggest.

I thought it went like this

Possum link < Link Plus (G1) < G2 < G3 < G4 <then the newer models (named crazy things) .. like storm or i cant remember what.

yeah my mates link plus G3 differs - it is not direct plug 'n' play... it has an adaptor loom with PCB to the link from the factory harness. my possumlink otoh is plug 'n' play.

ok, so its just a linkplus.... the link site seems to indicate that linkplus's have G2 and G3 too.

Its a wire in linkplus.

correcto - mine has a harness adapter
