good luck

I aint found any for the RX

I do have a set of cutties

I also have a set of hydralic struts but dont think they lower only higher

best bet is to mix and match from a 2 wd or go thru the kings catalogue and find some that measure up

was thinking of cutties but there a bit dodge and can end up cost more hassle than its worth. and was looking at king springs but there don't seem to be any that will fit lol so i don't know what im going to do..

Cutties are sweet as, just trial them 1 coil (or half) untill you get to the desired hieght, then get shocks shortend to match, fully legal if they are captive,

It all depends on how low you go, if you go to far you get horrible handling and it will become quite bouncy, im not familair with the older subs but I'd look at it and work out if you can cut them, as some springs coil inwards to a tighter diameter at the top/bottom so you cant cut that end, but look at the other end, it is really a trail and error, take the spring out chop one coil put it back in and do all the others the same,

just had a look and they actually not to bad they mite be eligible for the (cut) is it easy to tell cut springs? could go for a nice clean cut then paint them king spring yellow :D

you can do that, you really want them to seat nice and tight in the factory boot, they are not illegal if they are captive so if you cut them and they are not captive just get the struts shortend, (it cost me $60/strut last time i did mine)

Yeah the spring shop guy round here will reshape your springs for about $40 each, hes got a little calculator on his computer that figures the spring rate and how many coils to remove to get the drop you want. Then he gets 'em red hot with a blow torch and reshapes the ends so they still fit snugly. Price may be different for you as i was getting a lot of other work done when i asked, but it could be worth a try

subaru-mania, just realize that doing either of the above is purely for aesthetics and will cause you car to handle worse than stock

Posted

Ya gotta remember this is on a XT.....I cant see it handling worse than stock ever....then again maybe im biased, my XT had no rear shocks

handling worst u say that could be interesting haha atleast it will look cool 8) Im going to try the chop today and it if it doesn't work ill have to try something els ill upload some pics of the my DIY job as i do ;) it Could be interesting. DRFVDR good to know u have spares as they could come in handy..

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
