Stolen Subaru Impreza WRX Sti Version 3 1996

My mate has just had his STi stolen. It is a v3 1996, really smart car with aftermarket spoiler and bodykit. The numberplate is "NZ1WRX". The car was stolen from Palmerston North Hospital Carpark on the 20th October.

Hey I know this is 11 years later just wondering if you ever got the plates back

good Q : I know they 'dump' standard issue plates when nicked 

 

not sure on the process with P-Plates eh? anyone know?

 

I guess they'd be ok to reissue to the owner

I've had two cars stolen - both had the same personalised plate 

 

The insurance company essentially took ownership of them once they pay out. However, both times they transferred the plates back under my name so they could be used again.
