Driving with no bumper?

Is it illegal to drive with no front bumper?,..

As some of you may know I had some clown hit my v7 front on,.. I'm a bit poor at the moment and won't be able to get everything repaired,...

So is it illegal or not?.. will I get away with it?

Illegal...

You might get away with it for a day or 2 or a week or 2 but you wil get hassled quickly in a subi no doubt..

I did the one day i had mine off for a reason

my mate got fined for it about 5 years ago because its more likely to dismember someone if he hit them or something

haha just got back from geraldine had to pick up some hose clamps from a mate for my front mount setup, had no bumper on and drove past a cop getting into his car, he stared, i waved, and that was it, was half expecting him to pull me up but nothing more happened

I think its actually counted as a structural member in regards to pedestrian safety. So its totally illegal not to have one on.

correct and illegal... totally not condoning it but you take your chances..

had mine off for 3 days and drove it twice while i was getting the lip put on and FMIC sorted. If your on the way to get it put back on or something i suspect cops be more leaniant.. much like a WOF...

i got $200 fine for that coming down from auckland as my body got smashed up there and left it there for repair

I only lasted a few hours with mine off as I had just got my FMIC chucked on, well got pulled over and copped $250 fine for not being up to wof standard. I learnt the hardway it isn't worth it.

shit you guys got off light! i got a pink sticker for not having one on my little run about barina!!!! i went for a surf, got stuck at the beach and got 4wd to tow me, the rope d shackle let go taking one side of the bumper with it, having no tools had to rip it off and put it inthe back seat. on my way home got pulled over, wof and rego only a month old. was nice as to cop and he still gave ame a pink! wrote in about it twice , and they wouldnt budge!
