nice install for oil water gagues in a version 3

So the later model cars have nice mounts for placing gauges.. Im not a real fan of the pillar ones.

Im looking at getting some oil temp and pressure gauges, and water temp installed in the wagon, but i have the v-1-3 interior making things a touch trickey to do a "nice install".

Whats the best way to go about this.?? of course function is important, but i want them to be nicely/firmly/to look good where ever they are out, personally im thinking center console much like the later ones is "cool"

..

please help..?

What about on the outside of the car in front of the drivers view, that looks wicked, you cud put yr monsta tacho there too! :D

Just use clear silicone RTV to seal them up from the elements.

I saw a v4->6 dash on trademe not long ago for a reasonable price. Why not just do a dash swap? The newer ones are nicer anyways.

yer could do but its a lot of effort and $$. Something i cant really be arsed farking round with honestly..

i did find this

I did a good install of three gayges attached to the central vent trim in my legacy wagon, worked really well. I'll dig out some pics for you.

Was a bit tricky to do, but with some help of a good friend, got it looking really good.

Otherwise I'm sure there are triple gayge pods available for the older cars, will just take some searching of American car part sites to find them, or Ebay. Also depends on what size gayges you have - 52mm or 60mm.

i beleive you can get a plate that fits in where that pocket is below your stereo that will hold 3 gauges, but it does mean you loose that pocket....

Ive been toying with another idea myself... get the V4-6 fan controlls, mount them below the stereo (where that pocket is) and then use the 3 holes where the old fan controls were to mount gauges in, could be interesting and give a factoryish look at the same time if pulled off well

evoscan, use old lap top under seat running evoscan software, connect evoscan to your ECU then out put the video from lappy to a 7" TV monitor ($239.00 from jaycar - plus its a TV - the fold away type)

7" screen has inputs for DVD or gaming etc as well

Make you own dash layout with evoscan or watch shortland street whilst boostin!

Will only work with the right type of gauges, but a good suggestion

Here's pics of what mine looked like

The gauges had their own mounting cups and stands, so these were bogged onto the vent trim, bog sanded smooth, painted, then the gauges inserted into the cups.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
