urmm. . . dont think so, but i will be corrected.

if you want it certified, just contact you local certifier, will cost a few $100 and you will be happy.

many people dont do this or have it added in when they get suspension and other things done.

hmmmm we had a huge discussion about weather a cert is needed or not for a auto - manual conversion... cant remember the outcome, if there was one?

I suspect that as long as you're using factory parts (so factory mounts, gearbox etc) it isn't necessary.

I remember it being pretty common for some dealers to do manual conversions on R32 Skylines and there was no mention of certifications.

not sure if this affects manual conversions but i know there are now laws that means you must cert 'drivetrain' modifications, RWD conversion which i have done is included in that, which is using all factory parts, so it would make sense to have to cert manual conversions as well.

this is quite new, it only came up at my last wof, which lucky i scrapped through on because i know the guys that do my wof. i actually rang Nostalgia Motors in hamilton (they do certs) to confirm at the time and the boss there told me he had just had the new paperwork put on his desk.

might pay to do some more investigating to be sure.

Hmm my car's WoF ran out while mine was in the process of being converted. Drove it straight to Mr WoF man who's known the car since I got it stock standard as a new import in 2007. He saw it was manual, cocked his head and said "that's different, who did the work?" I told him me and a mate so he checked everything over (from gearbox bolts, to transfluid and everything in between) Only thing he said was wrong was I hadn't done up the transfluid bung and it was leaking. He even did it up for me he's that much of a nice guy ;)

As far as he was concerned as long as I hadn't cut into the fire wall or trans tunnel it was all good and didn't need a cert. Will be interesting in April when its next one is due about what he says...

il be getting my cert for coil overs / fMIC / more than 25% power and everything i can damm well think of when i get mine,

including the brembos, 6mt, rear subframe etc. I just want my car to be squeaky should i ever get pulled over.

It doesnt cost any more.. but i guess its a different question if the manual conversion is the only thing your certing.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
