How to put a v8 scoop on 92 wrx?

id suggest you would need to respray the bonnet afterwards.

just ring around the yellow pages, or post in the WTD section on clubsub main board and maybe someone can help you out...

all depends on the scoop you get....if its a str8 bolt on you can do it and just need to paint it....if its not a direct bolt on you prob looking at a couple hundy to paint'n'fit + the cost of scoop...direct bolt on ones are easier and cheapa

just got me a fiberglass one thats fit on to the foz...got quated 250 bucks to fit and paint

im about to do the same. Although mine isnt a bold on one. So just have 2 find a fiber glass person.

araldite 2 pak glue mine never came off

make sure its not just held on by bolts if you get a bolt on one doesnt take much for them blow off.i was lucky had like 1 bolt left on ended out slapping araldite all over it

mines fiberglass i got it ages ago for $250 all up was stocked.

i'm thinking about going alloy now only cause i have a crack thats starting to look worse, well i notice it :-\ just have to get it painted after but while i'm at it might as well touch up the front bumper again and get a lip lol where does it stop.

scored mine off TM for 80 bux with a cple of cracks....60 to fix the cracks and painted myself....

and it was a straight bolt on

my fiberglass cost me 260bucks of tm and another 400bucks to add mesh,paint,urethane and bolt that sucker on to the foz..

Type R rated had a V8 scoop on his type r bolted on. It came off the front bolts but still connected onthe rear and it bent the thin piece in behind the scoop...wasnt pretty.

im pretty sure Nick aka WRXERs scoop came off when he came down the straight at ruapuna too.

They seem to need to be bolted AND glued on if you want to hit high speeds ie track speeds.

mine was made to fit my bonnet bolt on\off so I could resort back to factory if i wanted

cost $150 to get made and $100 to get painted, has seen 180km\h on the track numerous times and is still in one piece!

iv got a v4 wrx scoop on my 91 rs legacy, all i did was screw it on then fibreglass around it to make it look as 1 piece. at the moment im fitting a v4 wrx front bumper to the rs, had to do alot of cutting to the bumper to fit over front mount etc, but once finished, it will be seamless to the front gaurds (im trying to keep body as smooth as possible)
