How do you get rid of the alarm that goes off with door open!

I opened up the box in my V7 (I believe it's the BCM?) and de-soldered the little speaker that does the various chimes. So no more ding ding if I have the door open or when I'm in reverse.

I HATE little beeping sounds. My family's old Corona used to go DING DING DING at over 104kmh, hammer quickly fixed that.

The beeping? There's a box with a plug in under the dash. It un plugs and gets rid of the beep.

that also gets rid of the ring light, under the ddash with the loom for the ign there is a 2 pin plug undo that and it keeps the ring light

Ring light, around the ignition?

So to get the beeper to shut up and keep the ignition ring light working - instead of unplugging or (as I would prefer) removing then smashing to peices with a hammer, look for the 2-pin loom under the dash and remove that?

Is there a way to destory the charm, whilst preserving the ignition ring? Apart from taking it apart and disconnecting the speaker itself..

no

YES

Necro'ing:

Hold the door button on the side.

Or solder the wires together to keep constant circuitry that are in the doot button.(I haven't opened it before, so not sure whether the door buttion's a circuit breaker or completer) I'd assume completer, so solder, if it's a breaker, well justcut the wires and tape them up.

When CS Dad was doing a wiring install for some gauges we had a play with what wires did what while trying to find a switched power feed, and in a loom, we found what we believed to be the wire controlling the ding. I told him to note down what colour it was. Did he? No. So that knowledge is lost to the ether haha

CS Dad gets pensieve from cupboard, extracts relevant memory from mind, wait !! there is Scoobydoo in the passenger seat playing with his high tech HTC while others are working, the fog clears further and there are seen some connectors around the steering column, it is the black one with one wire in it that is unplugged, the door alarm is suddenly silent. Pensieve goes back into the cupboard. ;)

And then when someone breaks into your drivers door the alarm doesn't go off.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
