Sure why not?

If you're talking RSB, that means gen-II. You're one and only option then is to get a manual RSB, since it's the only one with the EJ20R (better heads, better ECU, yellow tops, bigger turbo's etc - pretty much the STi's twin turbo brother). Also makes it dead easy to do a single conversion if you're that way inclined. Beware the BEB failures though - make sure you can afford a rebuild (not that hard considering how cheap these cars are now).

If you're open to B4's, the Manuals again are the ones to go for. Don't even bother with auto. That said, they are not as different like the EJ20H/R's were. At least with the auto gen 3's, you still get yellow top injectors like the manuals.

b4 was the other idea, as you say,ill be trying to get one thats been rebuilt. Is there much difference in the cassis performance iver each model? B4slok a lot heavier and less sporty to me if that makes sense.

Whats a single turbo conversion worth?

when it comes to B4 vs RSB, it's personal preference.

When choosing mine, I could have gone either way, but I really didn't like my dads BH. things like the steering was too light, car's to heavy etc. Some prefer the refinement however, and they really do feel like limousines sometimes. Great for cruising. If i had to go through it all over again, i would still chose a Gen-II any day, without hesitation.

As for the rebuilt thing, may be a good idea. Sometimes it may be better to just look for one that has simply been un-touched (i.e, no ricer mods) and has a service history.

They were my thoughts too, RSb's are pretty cheap. Which will mean the other half doesnt through a tanty when I want to do some "tidying" ;)

Any idea on weight?

The problem with untouched,is things are normally worn out by now.

This looks like a nice example. Low k's, been serviced etc. The price being so cheap, and the new AFM may be telling signs though.

thats been on there for a while he started with a 10k asking price a few months back and its gotten cheaper each time hes relisted came into the country with only 20k on it

I see i see. May be a winner.

Just keep looking on trademe stira, there's heaps if you simply seach "legacy RS-B Manual"

And weight? no? There's only like 20-40KG's difference between BG/BH for example, actually not much at all. I just like poking my tounge at the BH's (It stir's chris/mint gtb up :D)

+1

Mine was NZ New, FSH, 93k and i picked it up at auction for $4900 7 months or so ago. Its now sitting on 117km, and aside from normal maintenence issues (cambelt, clutch, wheel bearing etc) The only thing thats gone wrong was a battery. Though I think the AFM is on its way out now.

If you can, try and get one thats already had the Cambelt n clutch done unless you are happy to do these yourself. At roughly a grand each, its worth it.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
