Grease for Wheel Nuts

Hi Guys

My wheel nuts are becoming increasing hard to re-tighten (i do it by hand - can't afford impact wrech ) Is there any specialist grease that i can use on my nuts ( ;D) ?

If yes what is it & where can i get it from ?

copper coat

repco should do it or something similiar

clean the threads with a wire brush and brake clean then apply for best results

urv probly got rusty / burred threads if they dont go on easily...not such a good thing as u could snap the studs...if theyre burred get the old thread file on ther and clean em up the should go on and off easily without lube

I like to use wurth cu-800 copper anti-sieze. works mint & its in a spray can.

yup I use this too,but expensive

u can get wee tubes of it from permetex which i think is what repco sell for cheap

JOKER CRC 5.56 is ok but has no lastability so needs frequent reapp where as the copper coat will last almost forever

chur bo - Avenger wheels are on and off pretty frequent so CRC is fine for me

Thought it was something like drift docter haha, had no clue wtf the v was in there for. Im always useless with plates, still have no clue BALLA means haha that use to roll around on a wrx round here.

that spray anti-sieze is also good for headgaskets etc...... I had a friend once that put high strength loc-tite on his wheelnuts cos the wheel was trying to come off. The same mate that caned the car up and down the road to try to get the oil light to go out!!!! havent heard from him in a while...

I use a spray on copper gasket cement on all gaskets including headgaskets just for that wee bit extra insurance

do you have a prefered brand/product drf? laadan (hijacka) also recomends i use it when assembling my new motor

No i dont really BUT the wurth stuff is bloody good (and expensive )

As long as it is a copper gasket cement in spray form you should be sweet
