He's been told this many times, particularly given they did the original tune, and are one of the best tuners in the world.... but Kev likes to make life difficult for himself.

no torque performance was they ones who did it , wrc has never even seen the car

maybe i used the wrong word unique , just want to get a factory spec c and make it better than the rest of the factory ones , looks , handling , power . a few things it should of came with from factory like the gt2835 twwin scroll turbo

I think it should have rolled out of the factory with the keys into someone else's hands & you'd picked up a amuse s2000 or that evo 9 ???

+1 but those s2000 engines can rev, they look fun, but i dont think that i could live to be seen driving one.

just to add to this thread, i think that i can understand what he us trying to do, i used to do the same before deciding on a project, i went from 2l to 2.5 with different turbos and bla bla to different cars, supras to fairladys to ae86. and i think that all this guy is wanting to do it is bounce ideas of something he is wanting to do before attepting it ethier that or a dreamer with too much time and money

The stupid thing is, he has a Spec C so it's not like he's too poor to actually do it, like most kids who announce their 'big projects' that will never come to fruition.

But then i dont think that i would buy a spec c with my own moneys considering what they are worth and what else i could buy instead

i'd still prefer a stock STI Spec C to any BC5 tbh. They did a lot of work through the years to make the chassis etc a shit load better.

Contrary to a lot of other people in the thread, I'd firmly agree that the Spec C is hardly the be-all-and-end-all of STis. There are lots of places where it can be improved. In Kev's case, best bang for buck:

1) Track time

2) Proper tires

3) More track time

4) Handling goodies from Whiteline

5) Even more track time

6) Full exhaust/boost controller/decap injectors/ECU retune

7) Still more track time

And agree track time is a must.
