i like it when its tastefully lowered a bit and not the bloody dumped look lol. my adjusties had it sooo low that it was annoying but lowered springs are a better option as it still looks tasteful and does not scrape thru at places

I personally found that super lows only lowered my v7 about 30-40mm. I had king springs for about a month but didnt like them. Still had a bit to much roll in it.

When you lower an Impreza, you move the roll centre in relation to the centre of gravity. If you lower it too much without addressing the issue of roll centre, you actually introduce more body roll into the car. Not what you might expect! This is very important to take into consideration if you are looking for actual performance, and not just looks.

and the GD chassis is quite bad for messing with the roll center with only minimal lowering of suspension - when compared to the GC

50mm of lowering is going to screw up your suspension geometry. 35mm is about as low as you can go with a GDB without going to uprated shocks. But each to their own....

If you can tolerate a higher ride height, RaceComp Engineering in the US do a set of springs called "Yellow" which are highly rated. You can often get them second hand from NASIOC. The spring rate is set to complement the factory KYB damper rates, and they're the maximum drop you can get without upsetting the suspension geometry. But no way you'll get 50mm of drop out of them.

Good advice ^^^^ any lower and roll centre's go out the window. Do not touch King springs they're utter rubbish.

H&R are reasonably good also, RCE yellows as above are the ones to have along with matched shocks. Coilovers aren't required for a street car IMO.

yea not after coilovers... Ranga thats the height i want i got the tape measure out and 30mm is all i can go on the back I got 17 inch TE37s(yes they are real and dont ask how much) 50mm or lower and its scrape city 40 on the front would be good though

Its alot lower now (but thats just my style), i still dont have an issue scraping tho. I wouldn't use the current height for track days but it looks nice around the street.

At 35mm drop with 225/45/R17's on standard V7 rims I get quite noticeable inner guard rub when cornering hard...

50mm lowering springs are fine I have had them in to v7 sti with them in never had guard rub car still handled fine ( done 1.23's around manfield with them) end on the day if its a road car you should never out drive them on the road. The only problem I found is that the rear does not go that low as the springs be come uncaptive easly. Here is my car with super low dobi springs.

You shouldn't be getting rub on those coilovers at 35mm drop from stock, I certainly wasn't. Unless you're talking about a 35mm drop on the stock suspension?

Might have to re-check the height but yeah, the tyres definitely touch the guard liner at full lock.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
