Bilsteins arrived late last night.

I'll give em a scrub up and change top hats and they'll be bolted in soon as.

I knew that were better but did not exspect the shafts to be that big... Nice

Batmobile radiator and fans are on their way and should fit in hole between lights. Move ac radiator forward and maybe replace with a smaller one. Bonnet latch will have to be removed from the looks of things so bonnet pins/latches will be on order.

No bubbles bursted here chap. I'm only doing this because Darren blew up my ej20. This is my spare boat engine... :( ....

Would be good to compare notes though. This should be running in a month. I'll be using factory ecu and keeping ac.

Was it you who i sold my headers too?

Depends on how much you want to spend....

Yes it is possible.

The biggest problem is the water flow in the block is not very good. Not to sure why but the engine will over heat when pushed. This is not related to the size of the radiator.

The cylinders vibrate a bit when you start to push them and is hard on gaskets.

Will need new cam profiles.

There is a company in the states that makes low compression pistons because ej22 stuff lowers th cr too much.

Those are the biggest problems to overcome that i know of.

Thats one thing the SVX guys still havnt been able to work out. Loads of research is being put into it by a few guys.

Electric water pumps have been tried but havnt worked so far for improved cooling.

Guest boostcut

could you modify the placement of inlet and outlet on the block and run two inlet with two water pumps.... i know its a long shot but if your going to the v8s in hamilton i could show you my bosses quad rotor batty and that would give you the idea.... it runs nearly 700 hp from a na pp quad and never overheats.

I wont be chasing high hp in this car. I only want it to work. the only thing i may do different from factory is exhaust..

When it is time to do my boat then it will be a different story.

update, sort of.

All the wires to be removed sitting on the engine. About the same thickness of my thumb. When these are pulled out it will make enough room in the boot for the engine loom which is only slightly more then the half loom being removed.

looks way cleaner with the boost control and waic relays gone.

  • 2 months later...

Well I just had a look at this today (will take pics tomorrow) so far the front end has been moddied to move the radiator forward(cut the top radiator support out which we will bolt back in later)....

Have a radiator that has been modded....

have fitted front bilsteins

will have to mod rear mounts to fit rear bilsteins

so when it all finished we will have a

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
