After some advice on instrument cluster features

Hey all Im after some info.

My friend a long time Subaru driver, but unfortunately not anymore. Told me that some Subarus have this feature, when you start the car the speedo and rev needles go up all the way and then comes back down and then work as normal.

Does this feature have a name?Would it be possible to install something like that into my B4?

As far as i know it the newer subarus which have that feature... My mtaes 2004 legacy did it and my old 07 legacy wagon did it too... Doubt youd be able to put it in to your b4..

keltik installed a Link G4 ECU into his GT30 (BH H6 Wagon) it now has Gauge sweep

Like everyone has said, it was a feature on quite a few newer models. It is pretty cool but is it worth spending who knows how much for a 2second feature :-\

So whats the right name for that feature,gauge sweep like Joker said?

if its going to cost me and arm & leg to get it screw that.Might really not be that worth if only me and those worthy enough to drive my baby will see it.

very cool feature on late models... early ones dont have them and i'd assume it wouldnt be viable price wise to get it set up either...
