GTB wagon hesitant/surging

ok

so have been fecking with this for quite some time.

Essentially car sorta hesitates then surge as primary turbo comes on boost. It also doesnt like to hold revs eg when reversing then flick into 1st gear it will stall.

Feels like old petrol or something.

Thought i had tracked it down to O2 sensor but no cigar. Replaced and still no fix. Its throwing no codes.

Other things i have thought... fauly AFM, dirty AFM, ICV, fuel filter, new plugs needed?

Any other thoughts?

hmmm iridium are usually good for a few more thousand kms but who knows.

Could have been in there since day dot.

they do regular services but unless its been picked up before might not have been replaced.

yea should be around there the last ones i got that were generic subaru were .8 gap.

just over $100 for all 4 tho (with discount)

Our '01 Blitzen did a very similar thing a while back. Fault codes came up for faulty O2 sensor so had that replaced. Kept doing it so took it back, had knock sensor replaced and never had the problem again.

PFR6G thats a bloody sharp price ! getting very close to cost

its not tyre size, brand miss match, or uneven wearing? that will cause center diff binding and a surging feeling

Hey did the new plugs fix problem? just brought a 02 GT-B and noticed the same surging in mine, next service almost due tho

The surging only appears to be in one place in the rev range really. Once power is on it doesnt surge....

I would have thought if it was a binding issue it would be surging throughout rev range?

With snow havent had a chance to look at it.

Will replace sparkies and correctly gap and see how we go first.
