Rimrite - agent in Wellington?

Hey,

I'd quite like to get my rims sent to Rimrite in Palmy to repair some minor curb damage (btw does anyone know roughly what this might cost per wheel)?

Anyway my problem is that I don't really have any other wheels to put on the car while mine are away being fixed. It's not crucial if I can't drive the car for a week or so.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

if you dont need to move it, chuck it on jack stands if you have a garage/carport, i will have my 16's available tomorrow(by tomorrow i mean this afternoon), 2 x fronts 5mm each 1 rear 2mm left (pretty much at wear indicator) and the other rear is dodge but the spare is fine, if its just a week i dont mind lending them to you if you dont mind bringing them back up the stairs to my house they are 205/50 R16's 3 standard alloys and a biscuit spare, will look rangi but will keep you rolling

or call them & find out how long it takes per rim, if its just a little bit of curbing they might be able to do them all in a day, i don't know, might be worth a day trip to palmy though, probably just as cheap as sending them up there & paying for & waiting for freight

the rims are the ones below, should fit but not 100% certain, im local though so can always test fit if you do want to go down that road

PS. if you want to borrow them let me know ASAP, rims will be going under the house later today/tonight & once that happens its going to take some beer to get them out again ;D you can flick me a message on 0211145346

Actually I think you're right though, I will get absolutely raped on freight for 4x wheels (I'm guessing at least $40 for each wheel return, probably more). So your suggestion of doing a day trip is probably a good one. I'll get in touch with them and see if they think it's feasible.

used to be $150 a rim if you dropped them into Rimrite yourself, expect shipping and stuff to up that to as much as $200~ ea

Yes, there is a guy that comes to you in Wellington and does it.

Edit: Clearly if I knew who it was I would let you know, but I got the rims fixed on my old car when it was at the mechanic 3 months ago in Welly. Very good price too.

Cost will depend on the type of finish on the wheel.

The local VW dealer reckoned it cost him $250 for Rimrite to fix one of my Dub's clearcoated, diamond cut wheels.
