Pretty much my ones twin. Should definately get the LED parkers and fogs, matching lights makes all the difference.

Yip that's on my list of asap must-dos.. :D along with an STi chin spoiler and on the lookout for some ever so slightly louder exhausts.

Got my head unit in on Saturday thanks to Rapid Radio - couldn't believe it when it fit straight into that gap above the clock. Pic quality isn't that good

No packing needed at all. #dazed

Wanted to keep as factory as possible but...

Haha that "gap" is actually designed for single din stereo/dvd screens etc (the most silliest thing is to put that open pocket there imho).

How'd they set that up? Does it just feed back into the mcintosh through the cd changer port or something?

My bet they just disconnected it completely and the whole install took them like 15min all up (including 5mins to unpack new stereo). Sold a few of those single din kits and that's exactly what everyone did.

I have absolutely no idea. I guess so as it all looks like it works except no sound... So I now have 2 cd ports, even if only one has sound, plus aux/bt/usb. Verrry handy.

sobanoodle - sadly no it took them 2 and a half to 3 hrs to install, dunno why. I was busy most of the day so I didn't rly care lol

But works fine and sounds good, heaps easier to fiddle round with balance/fader/bass control etc imo.

Also found out last night that the steering wheel controls aren't compatible with the new system though. Meh.

You need this interface or similar for the SWC to work.

Can you still use the McIntosh as a stereo? Or just the aircon?

Nup I just use it for the aircon.

I had a quote to completely replace the factory stereo system for about 1500 bucks which I politely decided not to go ahead with

That system, I saw this http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-stereos/wiring-kits/auction-907181666.htm and was quite interested...

I installed this kit in mine - been almost a year now, works perfectly.

Non mcintosh systems maybe without an amp. Feeding the new HU output to the mcintosh amp under the seat isn't exactly a 10min job. Gotta splice into the mcintosh amp cable or feed back into the old HU.

Those fancy-shmancy McIntosh systems that everyone wants but then start replacing them with aftermarket bits and pieces :D

Fully agree. No idea why Scoob decided to change from aftermarket head units with all the gear you need, to McIntosh.

It needs a bit of work but I got it for a bargain and just in time too as my previous daily was starting to cause more issues than was worth fixing.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
