silicone hose kits on trademe, rubbish?

alternately does anyone know where to get decent kits from?

got told to stay away from no brand ones

i brought a M&H hose kit and it looks OK

where did you get it from and what did you pay?

Im in no huge rush but a couple of my hoses look abit worse for wear and i'd rather change them now than later when something gives

Figured I may as well get decent ones. Are the factory rubber ones as good as silicone?

um same price... $150 off TM, is it Star parts in Aucks? i guess any place that sells M&H will be able to get it

edit: just did a search on TM, none there ATM

actually here is one http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/radiators-cooling-systems/auction-428085042.htm this kit has more hoses than the one i got, and mine was blue. SO there must be a slightly cheaper kit in the M&H

they are crap, u get nothing but leaks... they dont even fit properly. keep away from the DSR brand also... nasty nasty

silicone is silicone - the ammount of layers is important to a degree - but the most important thing is fitment - they need to have the right ID and also the right length shape obviously - i used a m&h kit on my old sub and had no issues at all - great fit

Yea, I wouldn't say they are rubbish, but it is always better to use a name brand. M&H is about the best "cheap" kit you can get. They are by no means perfect, you often have to trim them back to fit properly, but I've had no issues with them when i ran their hose kit on my V7, and I'd have no qualms in using them again.

Yeah I remember those, at the time I think they were an order-only item, but maybe now they might be standard stock. Would probably be another good option, can't remember if they were branded or not though?

In a perfect world, yes, but such brands are expensive and not everyone has the disposable income for such things. Otherwise everyone would be rocking Works wheels, HKS suspension & JUN flywheels

I have DSR brand now don't ginx me but i've no no problem with them they were hard to fit and involved a little cutting but i paid $69 for the set from memory so i guess you get what you pay for.

i have a M&H one for my TMIC to turbo pipe and that works mint.

yip i had to cut the M&H ones too, no bother with a super sharp blade
