Does the ez30 have a rev limiter ? Not saying its wrong but surely it wouldn't be making power up that high (first pic is around 9k by the looks of it)

I love revs but 9k on a un opened motor to me is suicidal - wouldnt want any valve float to take place and have a collision between the valve and the piston at those revs

Think the rev limiter is 7800 on my sr20det

If its a built motor with harder valve springs and what not then I bite my tongue with the above

I can personally attest to the beating both motors took. As I'm sure other club members can to.

Risky? Yeah, Making any power? Maybe not. But in this case no harm no foul yet. Lucky for the owners and goes a long way towards showing how hardy the EZ30 are.

But if it's making less power up that high why rev it that high ? If u were going for all out acceleration which clearly u are if Ur revving it that high - the car would accelerate faster changing at just before the torque curve falls off
