Tow Cars

i transported my rex from akl to pukekohe on an unbraked trailer in my 03 vy commy with extra passengers (which is also for sale wink wink nudge nudge). did a fantastic job of it, even with some steepish hills. pulling out of bends on hills at 30-40kmh it still has plenty of torque to pick up speed again. gas wise normally gets about 7-8L/100km on trips, but i think it ended up around 13/14 towing. for me it's the perfect balance for towing with town car use. i'm upgrading to a v8 version of the same thing hence the sale [/sales pitch]

EZ30 wont fit in the FRONT I know i measured

but it will fit in the bed but you lose 4wd

EZ30won't fit in the front, without modification, you mean to say.

well depends on if u want it to stay looking like a brumby really

it is to wide and to long so would reguire major modifications

too wide? how much wider than the ej is the ez?

ej22 fits in a brumby no problems.

the EJ22 SOHC fits easily

the DOHC does not without removal of the complete chassis rails

the EZ30 is a wee bit wider and has DOHC, is also longer by a tad so would require the radiator to be moved to the bed.

yes, especially if you turned what is now the engine bay into a second boot.-not much tray space would be left, would it?

I do beleive it would be something to cream over, no doubt about that.

It would tow well, until it ripped itself to peices...

The cops just dont bother, So pathetic up here.

Local cops just don't want the paperwork I suppose. highway patrol are annoying though, breath testing checkpoint one end of town...

My newly-3.4L Petrol V6 Surf pulls pretty well. Way, way better than the 3.slow. The 3VZ is a relatively terrible motor to be honest. Gutless and thirsty with a penchant for blowing headgaskets.
