Wheel fitment GDB 2003 Version 8 STI

Soo, im wanting to buy some rotas for my 2003 sti V8 and was wondering if anyone could help me out.

Ive got 2 options

17 x 9" +42

17 x 8" +44

Theyre both the same type of wheels (rota grids) but the spokes on the 9" curve inwards more (which to me, looks better)

I was wondering if 9" wheels would fit on a GDB. Would appreciate any help

I was told by the rota dealers that the 8 inch would work better with brembos and not foul but the 9 inch will becasue of the amount of concave on the spokes. (this is on a gc8 though) you may need to run spacers. This may be bollocks as i dont have a gdb or rota grids for that matter and haven't tested the fit.

Can definatly get them to fit..

I have 18x9" +30 on my ver 9 Sti.

Fronts fit up without a problem, just did a slight roll on the guards.. But the rear took a bit more to get to fit, had to roll and pull the guards a bit, and I run a fair bit of camber as well, to get them to tuck under.. Not a ridiculus amount, but definatly more than normal haha..

But in saying that. Mine are a +30 offset, so the two options you have listed about will sit a little further in than mine, so shouldnt be as tight in the guards..

And yea it also comes down to spoke design as well..

Mine clear the brembos buy about 15mm, so I have no issue at all.. (Work XD9's)

Best to see if you can test fit one up to be 100% sure

friend of mine has 10" wide 18s on his version 10... not sure what hes doing to fit them though

Every second car on nasioc.com forums have them fitted, go check them out and see what sizes etc they're running

If you look at this the photos have a WRX with 18x8 Geforces on

those are wider than 18*8 on that particular car.

grids are done and done to the max imo

if u burning cash for some new wheels look other patterns in the rota family..

(not saying grids are bad but a lot of cars have them...)
