Plasti-Dip. It works!

Just thought I\'d share my first experience with Plasti-Dip, let alone spray paint.

I bought a can whilst being very vary of it\'s alleged ability to just peel off what you don\'t want. I\'ve got trim around my car that\'s fading and generally looking like poo.

Bare in mind, this is my very first attempt at any form of spray painting, I was really nervous. But I read lots and followed the instructions on the can.

However, I was very surprised, that I managed to get an even finish, and the overspray just peeled away.

aparently it\'s on special at 30 bux a tin, normally closer to 45...

and you can buy it off the shelf in the states for about ten bux... shipping SUCKS!!!!

Yeah I picked up a can for $30 last month when they were offering it that cheap because they were out of stock. Definitely worth the wait.

If you can get a CS deal, I may just ask for another can.

yea i\'ve been trying to get a full car kit and get my car done, but unfortunately they dont ship overseas due to the flammability content.

Evowrx maybe do a write up with colours etc and pricing. Im sure this type of thing with take off once availability issues are sorted.

I wouldnt mind doing my whole car is i wasnt selling it.

if you beat them to it, they cant object. They can only offer a better rate and therefore better for the club.

Sounds like the 4l are pretty much all gone and they turned up last friday...when I know more you shall know more. With 4l sounds like you need 1l of thinners? I know nothing about this stuff yet tbh.

I used the matt black on my wheels. Came out all good and no chips yet.

It doesnt feel as hard wearing as paint though. definatetly feels like you could just pick it off with your fingernails.

Realy eady to use though. Just had to give them a clean before hand and a few decent coats.

Took 3 cans for a full set of 16"s.

Dumb question: what is it?

Is it like spray on underseal stuff? Or just plasticky (its a word) spraypaint?

Peel off tough plastic in a spray can. You can paint your whole car in it.

Well I made an oopsie. Got a little cocky and sprayed too close, went runny and dried. Will take a photo later. Great thing is, when I can be bothered, I\'ll just peel it off and try again.

Im sure bunnings had it or still do. It all comes through griffiths equipment but they dont sell to general public on ly wholesalers.
