so it goes over the clear coat (just a nice clean surface right?)

- as in no need to sand clear off like u do for regular paint?

(specifically for painting wheels)

will clear need to be sprayed on top of plastidip?

- if so - regular clear or special plastidip clear?

I didn\'t sand anything at all, and its holding very well.

There are video tutorials on YouTube about doing rims.

Not sure on clear coat though. May pay to use Plasti-Dip clear coat as it will be made to hold onto Plasi-dip.

If you want a gloss finish you spray the glossifier or you can just use the matt finish the glossifier looks nice on matt finish

Theres a marine shop on Cable St that sells them for $29.99 but if we get 10+ cans it\'ll come down to $26.

I think there is an additional spray they sell that goes over the top for a glossy finish

Back from the semi dead

Anyone used this on rims before? Want to give it a go buuut if it looks mud being able to peel it off has a lot of appeal compared to normal paint where theres no going back

I\'ve just watched a whole bunch of videos on the net about it (plenty of non dipyourcar.com ones too given they obviously apply it all in a professional setting) and it seems bloody good, almost too good to be true.

Can anyone recommend a little machine to spray it on? Like a spray system you can get cheaply?

I have been meaning to buy a large air compressor for ages but they are bothering expensive so I haven\'t been able to justify it up until now.

If the pricing is right I am going to pick up some white and gloss finish, and paint the hood of my Skyline with it to see how it comes up, if its good I will do the entire thing.

Whats interesting about that V7 video is that he did the whole thing half parked in a gravel trap - nearly spat my drink out!

I done 1 side of the trim as i wanted to see how it held up, pollen stuck to it like shit to a blanket, rinsed it with the water blaster and it peeled off in places, i didn\'t even go that close. i will be ripping the crap off and painting it properly when i get time. I diffidently don\'t recommend it.

I\'ve found that in a few places. But since i wash my car weekly it doesn\'t really bother me.

Plenty on google. Best place to look then you can actually find pics of the colours you are looking at. Sold some more blaze orange today not for subie tho luke lol.
