Help with oil change in the ashburton area?

I really wanna do my own oil change but haven\'t before. I\'d really appreciate someone giving me a hand so I can learn what to do. I would take a chance of doing it on my own but don\'t wanna make a cockup.

Undo the sump plug, oil falls out.

Put sump plug back in, put 4.5L of new oil in.

There are a few extra details, but honestly you\'ll laugh at how easy it is. Hopefully someone can help you!

Do I need a new sump plug washer? Do I need to remove the underbody protector thing? Etc etc etc.

New sump plug washer isnt a bad idea but I normally use them twice before replacement. If you have a protector yes. If your doing filter go Genuine (or I use Ryco) and grab an oil change kit from Supercheap or Repco, about $20 gets you a tool to remove filter and an oil pan.

Easy peasy, just make sure you put the sump plug and new filter back in before you put new oil in and make sure you put the oil in before you start the engine... Its been known to happen.

I can understand the hesitation to give it a go on your own, but I reckon just go for it. As long as you think about it carefully and logically there shouldn\'t be a whole lot to go wrong. If you\'re unsure about something then people here will no doubt provide the answers you need
