brembo 4 pots on bc5

Guest

Recommended Posts

hi there guys ive got the oppurtunity to grab some brembo 4 pots. just the fronts atm for an okaayish price.

now from what i can put together with all this brake upgrading and hub business is that these brembos should bolt straight onto my original hubs.

if thats the case i was thinking of upgrading my brake cylinder too but my issue is that my rs is non abs and to find a brake cylinder thats non abs from later models seems slim.

i know the RAs dont have abs so now my question is that is my brake cylinder the same size as the RA one or is it smaller? and would it feel weird with 4 pots in the front?

Some wrx came 4 pot front 1 pot rear by memory so no funny business but brembos are 30mmish bigger in rotor so unsure on that. I think theres 15/16" and 1" options and possibly 1 1/16". Guessing the bigger is for 4 pots?

Not what I was getting at bro. Some wrxs already run 4 post front and 1 pot rear from factory. So they dont act funny with braking proportions but brembo rotor being bigger would give better braking so unsure if it would cause imbalance. Most of the braking happens in the front though.

yea lol i read it again after i posted... whoops! im guessing those wrxs wouldve had abs though :-/ version 3 onwards. the only next thing i can think of is v3 STI RA with big brakes and no abs.

anyone know if GDB spec C come with abs?

Tarmac V7 Spec C had ABS and Brembos, Gravel has no ABS and 4pot/2pots.

adapters for what exactly?

/jumping into thread late..

if you you mean for the rears, brembo rears and 2 pot rears share the same mount.

if you mean the BC5 - it needs adapters to accept rears - else find V7/8 WRX hubs. will direct bolt up and you can use all your r160 BC5 rear end etc. Two options to chose.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
