Weather, you lot down south

Still just wet in oamaru, heading inland a bit tonight to get some wheels so might find some snow there.

We\'ve got large power outages here in Wellington and a lot of strong southerlies and chilly rain. Got no power at home, but have got the fire going in the living room and candles in the kitchen and all our tablets are tethered to my work phone - for work purposes only. (Other purposes are available.)

Still no snow in ChCh

The streets are getting pretty flooded though, just been out wading around in knee deep, near freezing water clearing the drains so that the flood water from outside my house moves further down the street to sit and flood outside someone else\'s house.......

No settled snow inland, was a bit of a flurry heading back from the farm I went out to but that was it. Took a different road than the one I came up and ran into water, considered it but my cars way too low for that shit.

Managed to find enough snow to throw a snowball at a colleague at lunch. Life is complete. Storm can piss off now.
