What is the best brake upgrade??

I have a v8 sti sedan and just want to upgrade my brakes. Don\'t want to spend a whole heap of $$ so just wondering if anyone knows the best place to start??

change to higher temp fluid and / or

better pads and / or

brake booster brace and / or

braided brake lines.

ones you reach the limits of your brembos -> same as above but got to AP\'s or something stupid expensive

Brake booster brace makes a big difference to pedal feel under heavy braking.

yes, it does... but pads are going to be biggest improvement...

Yeah I was thinking pads cause I think mine are getting abit low anyways. Was wanting to do some track time so where would the best place be to find some race/street pads?? Is slotted rotors a big difference?? And why is a brake booster good??

use these so can speak to them - Endless N35S - lots and lots of bite

like any performance pad, they take a touch to warm up and work properly.

doesnt take much to overwhelm the tire grip, if you want initial bite then brake booster and braided lines are good for that

N35S are good pads... initial bite is a pad characteristic, you don\'t need braided lines or a booster.... N35S is a very good all round pad.

Make sure you put high temp fluid in for any track racing.

I got in touch with him. I might get some slotted rotors then when I hit 100,000ks put some new race pads on it. Anyone want to buy some sti brack rotors?? Haha done les then 20,000ks

Have done already prob get the rotors now and pads down the track.

also what tires are you running and size please, braking on Triangles/Ditch-finders is a whole kettle of fish different to some RE001\'s etc (In my eye any way)

Just 225/45r17 potenzas. Still thinking of what to do. Would a dobi springs with race brake pads be good?? Or go slotted with race brake pads??

What are you using now ?

They are your only contact with the ground.

Better tyres, better braking.
