Taking a legacy on the beach possible?

Recommended Posts

I was curious is there one on clubsub?

Im in the middle of looking to raise my 250t import, likely with outback springs/struts.

When the air suspension gave out they were replaced with a lowering springs/struts, now the tow ball sometimes bottoms out haha.

Just curious does anyone take their legacy down Muriwai or like 90 mile beach?

Mine has the diff lock button, but sadly the air suspension is of no use now.

Kinda like this? But seriously its beach dependant.

Found this morning at the beach, back end has sand over the axles and the front wheel is barely touching sand

Still laughing

Sand drifties only works if the sand doesn\'t swallow your car f00

Im reasonably experienced with beaches in Oz like Fraser Island and Morton Island with landcruiser. Im mostly worried about ground clearance as Ive never entered Muriwai before and not sure what the soft entrance is like? 90 mile I think from memory isnt too bad?

I always have a 4wd kit with me, tracks, shovel, inflatable jack etc

i got stuck in the sand with my legacy wagon on 90mile, it went from hard to soft in an area and tide coming in, would think twice, also sand kept falling out for an year after even though got it steam washed and cleaned, and causes rust as well..

like i said i take a 4wd kit i had in my lifted landcruiser in oz.

its got a shovel, tracks, inflatable jack, all sorts of gear. i really thought more kiwis would be into subs on the sand. i had a brumby once, that was an epic little ute

Well, sure... but the 4wd in a Subaru doesn\'t really compare to the one in a Landy. As soon as you get a wheel going it will just spin until you belly out completely. Especially in something like a 250T, where it doesn\'t have much in the way of an LSD. The diff lock button, I think, only locks the center diff, doesn\'t do anything to the open front and rear diffs.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
