Depends if youve got all the supporting mods like a pod filter and some blue silicon hoses

Ahahahahahahhaha

1 internet for you.

OP a Chinese honky-tonk turbo is never a good idea. A really big (35/40 is pretty big on a 2.0) honky-tonk is an even worse idea.

820cc injectors will max out with a GT3071R (a real Garrett one) so no point in getting something larger.

Suggestions on how you plan to tune for this big honking snail are welcome too... there's just a little bit more to it than injectors and a fuel pump.

Aw cummon I hadnt even got to valve caps and taking 8 thou off the dipstick .

I think youll just end up dissapointed . It will be pretty laggy . Prolly wont make a whole lot of power and prolly wont last all that long .

I mean if ur doin all the work yourself and got half an idea then give it a whirl . If your payin for fabrication and install etc it will just lead to frustration .

Have you got a power figure in mind ? Theres quide a few thread with the basics to achieve said power levels

Imo if your only running 820cc injectors then a td05/06 20g or something in a 8cm s.s t3 housing will be plenty enough as you would end up maxing out the injectors before the turbo ne way. i wouldn't trust ebay boon and shipping cost will be up there bro they are heavy, your always best buying local holsets theres plenty out there but if op wanted to go holset then he will also need t.s setup unless you machine out a s.s housing, a bigger slip on housing and comp wheel is a good idea depending on which size you have as there are many flavours.

You can buy in genuine holset kits and parts from denco diesels btw :)

Ring Steve Murch and tell him you want a turbo capable of doing around 300kw one a subaru and he will set you right. And likely to come in cheaper/similar than what an ebay turbo will do. IMO if you going for big numbers like that you will wanna look into avcs heads and twin scroll combination.

p.s "stock cammed road car" ... We talking ej20g hydrualic heads or ej207 sti heads? pretty massive difference in stock heads eh

Will keep that in mind thanks. I have got avcs already wired in my car and I'm running v8 sti heads.

Id give you advice but you didnt listen when i said pushing past 260wkw isnt simple. Tuning what you have and getting used to driving it without crashing it would be a good goal rather than 280-300wkw. Power itself means nothing its delivery which directly relates to drivability.

To justify a gt3540 on a 2l you need 20+ psi and heads/cams that work 5-7.5k. It will drive like a fckn pig except for driving 400m off a limit dump at meremere. On your setup be lucky to make any sort of power under 4.5k and will be lethargic as fck with 1k powerband before turbo gets choked by stock cams and falls over.

Chinese journal bearing just spools worse and low chance of it even making decent power and less of it staying together.

Just because a setup can handle 300 or 500wkw it doesnt mean you should sacrifice everything fun about the car to make a magical peak wkw figure.

Im running a turbo between a gt3082 and gt3582 on an ej25 with slightly bigger cams...works well. A gt3582 would skinny up the power/torque curve and lose all the magic the setup has.

Horses for courses - you have a road car keep it that way.

Ps man cs has lost its edge 3 years ago this would have been a riot lolol.

Thanks for that bro. Think I'll just live with What I have and see what it makes.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
