u can as suggested remove the rubber seal at the rear of the engine bay and also raise the rear of the bonnet a wee bit....

paint the FMI black and there u go all stealth.

and u can sell your bonnet to some wannabe :) hehhhehhe

I'd believe it, i imagine a scoop would feck with the airflow through the engine bay. Without one - im assuming theres a greater pressure differential on the front mount and hence better flow through it

Still expels hot air, looks less chavvy(you have to look hard to see it then) and your mrs might be ok.

Alternatively dump the bitch and rock out with your c0ck out

Have you measured it without?

I've measured it with the small standard V2 scoop, and with the much larger custom. Serious, it makes albeit a small difference, which probably has not much effect for me nanna'ing about the streets, but I expect that couple of degrees would make a difference to a serious track runner. All the cool air rushes over the manifold and back over the turbo / down pipe.

Never measured without a scoop though. Sounds like something to try....

if you have never measured it without the scoop, how do you know it is cooler? or what is it cooler than?

i believe he said hes measured the difference between a v2 scoop and the v8 scoop with slight results

Phatrex scoop now is similar to a v8 STI, as high if not slightly higher, just not as deep.

A lot of extra room for more flow in that scoop compared to v2.

Although wouldnt you get higher pressure forcing air through a smaller gap? although I guess at a certain size it would flow more. I have no idea of how to do the math on it.

I just got the v8 scoop for the look. If theres a bigger gain than loss (its like having a sail on the bonnet, you should see it flap about down pit straight at manfield lol) thats just icing to me.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
