BH legacy GT front speakers

anyone know what size speakers to get to replace the factory front door speaker?

alo, does the stock cd/tape unit have an aux input at the back - had read it somewhere but cant seem to find..

I think 6" fit but the stock speakers are screwed through the steel, (ie: no plastic to mount new ones to), I drilled holes in the steel to mount mine, seemed to work alright.

I had 6.5's in my old one. Had them mounted to the stock plastic brackets that have the weather shield. Sounds like not all models had this style of bracket though based on the comment above. Mine originally had the mcintosh stereo so that may have been just something they did with those speakers.

Yip, I changed mine just after christmas. 6 inch and screwed intop plastic clips in the door. I ended up making a ply support to mount to original location and using longer screws as if they are not long enough the speaker will fall out. ( I have a photo on my phone, will upload it later.

I put 6.5" in mine. I cut the original speakers out of the mounts that they are moulded into and screwed the new speakers into that. that gave me the clearance I needed for the magnets and they screwed straight back into the door just as the old ones came out.

I put 6.5" in my 99 B4 BE5 with painted mdf spacers from Hyperride.
