For what car, what size and what do you want out of it?

Those seem alright prices for what your getting depending on what size you have.

You said in another thread you might be driving on snow, so the SP Sport 600 wouldn't be a good choice as its a summer tyre, and the blocky tread pattern wouldn't grip very well.

The Sport Maxx RT could be pretty good given its the factory fit on the 2015ish WRX STi.

I went with Continental MaxContact 6 for mine and very happy so far. Managed to get a set down from 1100 to 800 after battling 4 different shops against each other. So far they seem quite good.

That’s a good price

All 245/40r18 on an STi.

I’ll be getting Michelin pilot sport 4s later but they are 19” minimum so they will be 265 or 275

Mine has 255/35 050+’s on it and they seem to be super capable tyres. No issues in the rain but snow down south may be another story.

Yep couldn't fault them either, my stock set is wrapped in them. Really good value for money, in my specs at least.

I find 4s to be rather loud at lower speeds, compared with Dunlops.

With the exhaust and pitch stop I have no issues with road noise, I can’t hear it over the drone

So have to say the ride is much nicer with the sports Maxx 050+ but the grip isn’t great.
they are more linear in the way they let go but with the re002 the car never had the traction control come on unless you f***ed up. The sports Maxx has had traction control come on at 50kph on a corner that was just 90 degrees and also at 80 on a country road.
will bump the tire pressure up to see if they need a little more support but it seems the sidewalls are way softer..

Interesting. I've pushed them reasonably hard, say 40+ over marked corner speeds, on some long gorge roads and never had any traction issues.

Old tires could double any corner sign.

what tire pressure are you running?

No idea actually. Haven't touched them since got the car, I've only done like 1500km

Ok now I’ve put some km on these in wet and dry I will says

very much softer sidewalls than the RE00x series. Running stock pressures.

much softer and forgiving in pit holes, not so much dash rattle.

grip is slightly lower.
grip loss is progressive and very easy to pull back under control. The RE are much more snap loss of grip and skittish when they grip again.

wet performance is very close to dry. You’d need standing water on very smooth roads or the track to upset them.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
