Looks like a standard Legacy with a body kit and retrimmed seats.

its an auto according to the pics... would of thought a "WRC model" would of been manual and possibly DCCD.... maybe im just talking shit.... probably

For a car that age I would suggest giving the dealership a quick call, I'm sure they could tell you either way.

Those 5 speed autos are quite good though. Niced quick shifts (for a Subaru) and can handle a fair bit of power.

A proper ltd edition like a v-ltd, s-series etc would be numbered, but not all are.

Unless the chassis code shows it's what it says it is, it's debatable

It's not a WRC model, simply because they dont rally Legacy's.

It's a factory comemarative model...

They do heaps, mostly to cash in on the rally heratige, most other brands do the same.

spot on Subaru released the wr series in wrx and legacy.All cars were blue only and gold rims. I had an 04 wr-ltd wrx as did BT but i think his was an 03(?)

the wr-ltd wrx had a sti body kit and embroided blue seats etc. I dont recall my wr having a specific number. however im sure wikipedia will know alot more than me .

Subaru did indeed release such WR models for the turbo legacy, the main differences was the rally blue colour and wheels painted gold, the interior will also have the subaru rally logo stitched into the front seats and styled like STi imprezas with blue trims etc etc in the impreza, some of the dash parts are also painted rally blue alike the GC8 V limited/ limited cars

the exterior will have a badge with the subaru rally logo as can be seen in one of the pictures in the link. And no, not all of these WR versions come in manual.

Non turbo legacy are sometimes done in this exterior colour scheme also but im not sure whether they are considered as WR editions ???

IMO the wagon will look alot better with all the add ons taken off, in that i mean the front lip, side skirts and rear bumper add on to expose the factory B Spec bumpers. but thats just me Factory aero FTW!

If I move to Aussie Ill be buying a 3.0R B, prob a 05-06 sedan for a company car.

Not too fussed on atuo or manual, auto's are better in traffic and for towing.... If the race car comes with me.

Prob just lower, tint it and do the wheels.

Still a possible. Its actually for my father in law. I know about the limited wrx s etc but never seen this before.

Im sure the dealer has pumped up the ad to represent it as a wrc version but its just the colour of it rather than a specific model.

I think hes off to take it for a drive.

That may be a genuine WR model but it's been molested with some horrific add-on tupperware.

They look MUCH better without all that crap.
