Decent strut brace, 22mm Rear sway bar and good tyres should be your first step. Doing this to my BD Transformed the handling, and negated alot of the understeer.

Next steps are Front sway bar, Anti lift kit and either sti shiocks/springs or a rebuild of the bilsteins.

I thought the sti shocks were just pink bilsteins? Is there a difference?

nothing wrong with Legacy handling, the extra weight/ lack of acceleration and over abundance of comfort is on the other had a problem...

IIRC Front geometries are similar if not better than an M3 (yes I read it on the internet complete with a chart of mm measurements etc once AFAIK Warlord posted it up - or monolith)

I thought the sti shocks were just pink bilsteins? Is there a difference?

Not sure? I was led to believe that pinks were a good upgrade. I'll be happy if that info is wrong, as I'm more than happy with the bilsteins - but at 140k they're due for a rebuild.

My endlinks are poked on my FSB too, so might as well do the whole bar when i'm in there.

Might look good on paper, but the big difference between an M3 and a Legacy is that the front wheels on a legacy are providing drive. Not knowing (or understanding) the numbers, i might be way off track here, but i would expect that because its an awd car, its front end setup should be quite a bit different to a rwd car?

Also a big problem with the BG/D is rigidity. I believe (again, third hand) That BH/BE is some 25% more rigid. Hence why strut braces have such a noticeable impact.

Oh Agreed. Every time i get in the Legacy and hit some corners after driving the 540i, I cant stop grinning!

coil overs and strut bar has made a hell of a difference to the handling im want to get aftermarket rear strut and swaybar

The best thing you can do to improve the handling of a legacy is to trade it in for a WRX ;D

lol mines fine now. and ive spent too much money on my legacy now that i wont get back for it

and the wrx i want is way to expensive
