Plenty of Legacies have the rear roof spoiler whether E-tune or not, most TS-Rs seem to as well as GTBs.

Yes they do but they normally look like: (stolen from Legacy pics thread)

I'm talking about the ones that look like mine:

Judging by this pic it looks the same: (again stolen from Legacy pics thread)

E-TUNE was in interior trim level (optional) in Japan - it got ticked more often than not.

In NZ, to combat imports and their level of kit, the E-Tune was standard fare...

From the old forums pre meltdown (I copied and pasted to Word file).

Also just some more useless FYI:

NINJA EDIT

The BE/BH Dash cluster is cross-compatible with the V5/V6 STi dashes...

As far as I know E-tune is just a badge/trim level.

Pretty sure that from the 01 facelift all RSK/GTB got the improved engine (EJ208DWEBE for my '02 GTB E-tune) - its not just a different ECU but higher compression, different turbos (VF33/32) and so on as well.

VOD is really a non-issue with mine though you can find it with a mis-timed gearchange on part throttle.

Yeah this post is right! Basically the top model, got a few trim items, and slightly different turbos in the type D.

im just gonna throw this out there..

i'm looking at a japanese subaru issued legacy wagon brochure, and it seems that there are only 2 TT models

GT-B E-tune II (manual or sports shift auto)

GT (auto only)

all the bits and bobs like spoilers etc are options. although some options are restricted to certain models.

seems to me, that these cars are either GT's or GT-B's which are all E-Tune II's- at least in this year.

(expects flaming from everyone who has a GT-B without a etune badge...)

Yeah, well that might be only the final type D.

All GTBs are a type E, with the exception of;

Late 1998 model GTB, as there was no E-tune in first year of production of the BH series.

In 1999 there was a GTB, but it was an auto. There was also a GTB-Etune auto in this year as well.

All other GTBs are some kind of E-tune, either 1 or 2.

There were heaps of other models available.

I had the RFRB E-tune kit on my old GTB from factory. Went hard too. Harder than the one i have now thats for sure. Was full leather twin sunnies etc. Driven a few of them O and my mate HAD a 401 GTB and traded it...they gave him $5500 and sold it on the yard for $7995. Manual with 4 pots from factory and sway bars etc as the 401s have and 120km. Stink!

E-Tune is a trim level...

Much like Toyota's GL, GLS, etc...

Or Fords, XT, S, ect (or like the new G series & non G series)

The reason why E-Tune are only on the "D" revision models is because they were the last of the model range and Subaru had to do something to stay on a MARKETING par with Mitsubishi, Toyota, Lexus, etc... ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Car Manufacturer & Dealers Modes operandi 101: "Dream up some cool marketing gimmick, and use it to show case old model against competitor's new model untill our new model is availble..."

I use the above on a daily basis at work because my product is exactly the same as my closest competitor, hence I need a clever sales/marketing trick to get the sale and deny my competitor the sale

So all say: TRIM LEVEL...

Your car feels faster if you believe it enough. I told my wife I had 98 in the car and she said it felt more responsive. I had put in 91.

well done!

The rear roof spoiler on my car is off an E-Tune wagon, so it's an option from 96 GTB's onwards.

Negatory, that's not an e-tune spoiler. The stickers must have come off yours, it's actually an RFRB spoiler. Was an option on the BG's, nothing to do with e-tunes.

Thought i'd clear that up.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
